The TWINS ALU-TEAK 6042 armchair belongs to the TWINS collection by Emu which, in addition to the seat proposed here, also includes a chair with or without armrests, an armchair, a sofa, and various types of tables; the TWINS collection is made up of two twin versions , namely the TWINS TEAK series, made entirely of teak wood, and the TWINS ALU-TEAK series, characterised by the interesting mix of materials such as aluminium and teak wood , which underline the shapes of the accessories, enhancing the softness of the wood and eliminating its sharpness, through a concept of continuous line. Designed to eliminate the boundaries between inside and outside , the two versions of the TWINS collection match perfectly both with each other and with other collections of the brand, allowing you to create the most varied combinations.

Elegant and timeless , the 6042 armchair stands out for the enveloping and sinuous profile of the aluminum structure (suitably treated to resist atmospheric agents and powder coated), which frames the teak wood slats of the seat and backrest (suitable for outdoor use without the need for painting treatment), mixing the color of the painted metal with the natural color of the teak, for a sophisticated chromatic effect. The armchair is also equipped with comfortable armrests , gently curved towards the seat, which make the seat even more comfortable, as well as giving it a distinctive look.

Easy to handle, resistant and light, this lounge seat is designed with an impeccable design and great attention to detail , such as the hidden stainless steel fixing screws and the grinding of all external welds , for a better cleaning of the details; perfect for creating a refined atmosphere at any latitude , the 6042 armchair is designed to last a long time, but also to allow a simple replacement of the slats or armrests, in case of damage , and to promote the recyclability of the materials at the end of their life , being able to easily separate the teak from the aluminum structure.

Stackable up to 2 units , the 6042 armchair is a pleasant choice both to the sight and to the touch, and can be customized in the finish of the structure , available in 5 colors , namely Matt White, Maple Red, Grey/Green, Indian Brown or Dove Grey.

To make the seat more comfortable, you can choose, among the accessories, the seat-back cushion C/6053, to be fixed to the seat with laces and to the back with a rear loop; the cushion is available in a wide range of fabrics specifically designed for outdoor use.

Materials:
• Aluminium structure: aluminium alloys, particularly suitable for cold working and die casting, appropriately treated to resist atmospheric agents and powder coated.
• Teak seat and backrest: a traditional wood used in outdoor furniture with a timeless exotic charm, teak is a hardwood with a high oil content suitable for outdoor use without the need for varnishing. If it does not receive any protective treatment, the surface will take on a silver-grey patina, a natural protection of the internal part of the wood, considered an essential element of the charm of teak. The teak used for EMU products is certified.

Maintenance:
> Aluminum:
To keep the product in good condition for a long time, we recommend correct periodic cleaning, particularly frequent in locations characterized by high humidity and marine climate. It is recommended to clean the surfaces with a soft cloth using water or neutral detergents. Prolonged and uninterrupted exposure to intense UV radiation or very low temperatures can affect the initial characteristics of the colored aesthetic coating made of polyester. We recommend cleaning and storing the products in sheltered places during periods of prolonged non-use and in winter.
> Teak:
Since it is a natural material, variations in color may be observed between one product and another or between the components of the same product. In the event of sudden changes in temperature and based on the humidity level, cracks may also occur. If not subjected to any maintenance treatment through the periodic application of common and specific oil-based protectors, the surface will take on a silver-gray patina that can also be eliminated with a light surface sanding and subsequent polishing with a jute cloth. Small surface stains due to oil or other food products must be removed promptly, before the wood can absorb them in depth, by sanding the affected surface and polishing with a jute cloth. Coffee stains, juices, natural drinks, without added preservatives, can be removed promptly with water and a soft cloth. When the wood gets wet for the first time, it is normal for the surface to become a little rough and, once dry, the initial smoothing can be restored with a light surface sanding and subsequent polishing with a jute cloth. Teak is a natural material that absorbs water and is rich in oils. Over time, these oils naturally rise to the surface and can stain any cushions that have been used. Stains on cushions can be removed using soap and water.

Cushion Cover:
- Basic fabrics , in acrylic: acrylic fibre combines the aesthetic qualities of a luxurious fabric, with a body and touch similar to those of wool, with the functional qualities of resistance to atmospheric agents: it resists UV rays, does not stain and does not rot in water thanks to its speed of drying.
- Standard fabrics : the standard fabrics include an acrylic coating (900/18 Mother of Pearl), three polypropylene coatings (900/71 White, 900/75 Ebony and 900/77 Grey), which are generally very fine fibres with a high surface tension thanks to which water can pass through and flow away quickly, ensuring resistance, durability and good thermal insulation, and 5 coatings made of 85% polypropylene and 15% polyester (900/02 Sea, 900/05 Brown, 900/07 Havana, 900/08 Sand and 900/09 Sage), which combines the above-mentioned properties of polypropylene with those of polyester, which has high mechanical characteristics: it resists breakage, light, abrasion, does not deform permanently, has excellent elastic recovery and is water-repellent.
